And I made this portfolio website so I can show you what I do. 

 

First, let me tell you a bit about myself. 

I was born in South Korea, and spent 7 years of my childhood living & learning English in the west coast of Canada. I graduated from the Performing and Visual Arts Program at  Central Memorial High School in Calgary, AB, Canada, and made my way to New York, where I received my B.F.A in set design at SUNY Purchase, magna cum laude. It has always been a dream of mine to design sets for theater in New York ever since I was 10 years old. I was completely mesmerized by the magic of theater & was captivated ever since watching The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. 

 

After graduating from SUNY Purchase, I enjoyed designing my own shows, as well as assisting Broadway & regional designers. With time, I realized I wanted to take my art further. That led to more intensive studies of not only just theater, but of my craft, my personal growth, and of the "human state" as reflected through art. I received my M.F.A at the Yale School of Drama, now formally re-named as David Geffen School of Drama at Yale.

More recently, I have reached out and explored different avenues of spatial design and have really immersed myself in the vast world of TV & FILM. It's been a wild ride- both challenging & rewarding. I delight in the fast paced, never-a-dull-moment world of film & tv, where I get to meet and work with so many talented fellow artists. 

Outside of work, I love spending my time at home cuddling my three kitties, or spending time canoeing out in nature with my husband. I also enjoy tinkering with new crafts for the fun of it!
